Lisa Carney – Advance Frequency Separation in Photoshop
Frequency separation has always been an added tool in my arsenal for portrait retouching.
However, it really got powerful for me when I started recognizing I could add other elements into my frequency separation set up. Other elements like cloth fabrics, skin texture, body shapes.
It was a real game changer for how frequency separation fit into my work flow.
Now I use frequency separation on nearly every job. It’s often quick and I merge the frequency layer set and continue on with my job. No longer a precious standalone folder , I often merge it FS into my standard retouching – almost like when you use a filter.
